GAL ANS is certified by the GCAA as an Air Navigation Service Provider in the UAE. Current ANS customers include all of Abu Dhabi Airports (ADAC), and Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, handling over 530,000 air traffic movements annually within the UAE FIR. With its private and government customers, GAL ANS provides Air Navigation Services in many Airports in the UAE.
Growth Trends in Civil Aviation
In July 2012 GAL ANS was awarded the contract to provide Air Traffic Services to Ras Al Khaimah International Airport. GAL ANS have recently renewed this contract for an additional six years until 2021. In May 2013 Abu Dhabi Airports Company awarded GAL ANS the Air Navigation Services Contract for all of their Airports.

AIS and Met Group
GAL ANS AIS and Met group is responsible for operational Aeronautical Information Services (AIS) and Meteorological Services (MET) which supplies clients with the required up to date valid flight planning, dispatch, and charting/mapping information to conduct flight operations inside and outside UAE.
Assurance and Licensing Group
The Assurance and Licensing Group is responsible for Safety, Assurance, Licensing and Quality Management. It provides an effective ATM safety oversight system to regulate the delivery of ATM services, including an audit and assurance process for ATM services. This is an autonomous and independent group responsible for the regulation, inspection and assurance of GAL ANS Air Traffic Services. It assures the safe provision of ATS delivered by GAL ANS staff, by supervising the implementation of requirements applicable to the provision of ATS.
Standards and Procedures Group
The Standards & Procedures Group is responsible for creating and updating operational rules and regulations in liaison with all pertinent Standards and Evaluation (Stan/Eval) including GCAA Civil Aviation Regulations. This function is a GAL ANS ATS HQ function to support and implement standards and procedures that are compliant with ICAO and GCAA where applicable without limiting operations.
