The purpose is to provide aeronautical information essential for the safety, regularity and efficiency of air navigation to the flight crew and operators, relative to the route stages to be flown, originating at ADAC Airports to various destinations, in accordance with national GCAA Civil Aviation Regulations (CARs) and ICAO Annex 15 specifications on Aeronautical Information Services (AIS).
The services are achieved by supporting Publication of Aeronautical Information by Sheikh Zayed Centre AIM as Data Originators and by providing accurate data for such publications related to:
Aeronautical Information Publication Amendments (AIP AMDTs),
Aeronautical Information Circulars (AIC),
NOTAM & Pre-flight Information Bulletins (PIB)
AIS monitor, coordinate and update published Aeronautical Information for all ADAC Airports, including related Aeronautical Charts, on regular basis and as necessary.
AIS support operators on all aspects of Flight Planning, associated ATS messages & provision of PIB for safe and efficient conduct of Air Navigation from point of departures to ultimate destinations.
AIS also support Aerodrome Safeguarding and Control of Obstacles at all ADAC Airports as required by GCAA Regulator and to ensure safety of operations. AIS mandate is to ensure that the aeronautical data related to terrain and obstacle meet the 95% Confidence Level and to validate the accuracy based on the ICAO and GCAA standards.
With the implementation of area navigation, performance-based navigation (PBN), airborne computer-based navigation systems and data link systems the importance of aeronautical information has changed significantly and we are constantly working with our clients to ensure their data is maintained to the highest standards as we have migrated from paper to electronic documentation, in line with the Transition of AIS to AIM developments and under the supporting projects of acquiring Aeronautical Information Exchange Module AIXM 5.1.
