Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) is located within the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi and is the second largest airport within the UAE. Home to the national flag carrier of the UAE – Etihad Airways – the airport offers travel to over 100 destinations, in over 50 countries. Aircraft movements at Abu Dhabi International Airport grew by over 90% in the 10 year period from 2007 to 2017 with the airport currently handling over 400 movements per day operating to parallel runways. The airport is currently undertaking a major upgrade program which will culminate in the opening of the Midfield Terminal Building in Q4, 2019.
GAL ANS provides air traffic control, aeronautical information services and ANS engineering services at Abu Dhabi Airport. As well as providing Approach Control Services to Abu Dhabi, the ATC Approach facility also provides approach services to Al Ain International Airport, Al Bateen Executive Airport and Sweihan Air Base.
